Liverpool Crash out of FA Cup

The mid-week FA cup replays have finished off Liverpool’s hope for silverware this season. Only 4 months ago football pundits were predicting that this season could be Liverpools year and the Premier League title would return to Anfield at last. They couldn’t have got it more wrong!

Rafa’s job is now balanced on a knife edge with only a Champions League place left to play for and that may be unlikely given the way the team are playing. If Gerrard and Torres don’t stay fit it will be Bye Bye Rafa before the summer.

If you think that Rafa is on his way out, Victor Chandler will take your bet for the next Liverpool manager:

Jose Mourinho 2/1
Kenny Dalglish 3/1
Guus Hiddink 4/1
Gerard Houllier 10/1
Jurgen Klinnsman 12/1
Oswaldo de Olivera 14/1
Martin O’Neill 16/1
Frank Rijkaard 20/1

Who do you think can take the reins at Anfield? Let us know by leaving a comment below. Could Liverpool legend Dalglish save the day at just 3/1?

FA Cup Winners

Now Liverpool and Man United have left the competition; who do you think will take home the FA Cup this season. Will it be the bookies favourites Chelseas year? or do you think Man City have done enough to claim the cup? Arsenal are also still in the chase and Wenger would love to bring home the trophy.

More bad news for Benitez - BBC News have just reported that star striker Torres needs an operation on his knee and won’t play any football for approx 6 weeks.

This is another serious blow to the Reds and I’m sure that they’ll struggle without him.

Gerrard and Benayoun also face weeks on the sidelines, after being injured in last nights defeat against Championship strugglers Reading.

The Grim Reaper may come a calling for Rafa soon!
