Fergie has been up to his old mind-tricks again, by claiming that the Blues face an “easy” game against Bolton.
Owen Coyle and Carlo Ancelotti have been quick to dismiss the claims, but most of the country probably agree with Ferguson and all the sensible money will be on a Chelsea win. On paper this should be an easy 3 points for Chelsea.
Do you think Fergusons clever mind games will work in tonights fixture? I don’t think so! With only 1 defeat at the Bridge this season, Fergie would be better off dusting off his prayer mat for Bolton to get anything out of tonights game. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s been a wonderful week in Europe for Chelsea and they haven’t even kicked a ball.
Man United lost to Bayern and star player Rooney is out for 2-3 weeks. Chelsea 1-0!
Arsenal also played and only scraped a draw with sublime Barcelona. The gooners also lost star player Fabregas (and Gallas) for the rest of the season. Chelsea 2-0! Read the rest of this entry »

The football season is hotting up, with only a handful of games left to play. As the season comes to an end (at least we have the world cup to look forward to) it is time to look back on the season and choose your best (or worst) player of the season.
You can select a player from any of the English divisions; we’re not picky. Just tell us why you are nominating the player for the prize of Best or Worst player of the season (don’t forget to tell us which team they play for). All entries will be submitted into our FREE prize draw. Read the rest of this entry »

In the curtain raiser for tomorrows nights BIG Champions League clash between Arsenal and Barcelona; Manchester United take the field tonight hoping to re-create the excitement of their 1999 CL win against Bayern Munich.
United are favourites to win the game over the 2 legs, but German giants Bayern won’t be a pushover for the Reds.
United are looking good though; with both Rooney and Ferdinand expected to play after recovery from injury. Ferdinand’s return re-unites that vital defensive team of Vidic/Van De Sar and Rooney gives them much needed fire-power at the other end of the pitch. Read the rest of this entry »

It’s getting close to crunch time in the Premier League, with battles being fought all over the table.
The race for top spot couldn’t be closer with just 3 points separating Arsenal, Chelsea and Man United. In the relegation dog-fight, Portsmouth are definitely down but the other 2 spots are still to play for.
We also have another mini-league scrapping for fourth. Things couldn’t get more exiting!
On Saturday we kick off the round-up with Birmingham v Arsenal Read the rest of this entry »

I’ve been reading a few football blogs this lunchtime and one topic keeps cropping up - who will win the Premier League title? These usually start “Have Manchester United got it in the bag?” or “Have Chelsea lost the plot?”
Has everyone forgotten there is a 3rd team in the running? Where are the “Can Arsenal win the League?” posts? Does no-one believe the Gunners can win this year? I know they have bottled it in the past, but Wengers boys are hitting their peak at just the right time.
Look at Arsenal’s form over the last 6 games: Read the rest of this entry »
