Saturdays Football Betting

It’s a big derby weekend in the Premier League this weekend, so tensions will be running high.

Liverpool vs. Everton
Birmingham vs. Wolves
Chelsea vs. Arsenal

What a cracking weekend of football - these games are all difficult to call; with the emotion of the day meaning anyone could win. The Chelsea/Arsenal game has everything set for an explosive tie with both teams still in with a shot of the Premier League Trophy - will we see a sending off? SkyBet are offering odds of 13/8 that a player will see red!

Weekend Football Bets

Tottenham  vs. Villa

My first bet this weekend is Spurs to beat Aston Villa. Defoe is looking really sharp after putting 3 past Leeds midweek. The Tottenham defence has also kept clean sheets in the last 4 home games so I’m tipping them to beat Villa by a goal or so. Spurs are Evens with SkyBet for the win.

Plymouth vs. West Brom

In the Championship I fancy West Brom to beat Plymouth at odds of 4/5. West Brom are flying high in position 2 and cannot stop scoring, whilst Plymouth are struggling to find the back of the net.

Notts Forest vs. Sheff Weds.

Forest will be looking for a win to keep the pressure on West Brom at the top of the table. Wednesday have been doing well under new boss Alan Irvine but this will be a tough test and Forrest should do the business.

Hartlepool vs. Leeds

Leeds will be looking to bounce back from FA Cup disappointment midweek with a win. 3 points will keep the pressure on promotion rivals Norwich - a win should be in the bag for Simon Grayson’s Leeds this week.

I’ll let you know how I get on with my bets tomorrow. Let us know your top football bets for the weekend by leaving a comment below.

I’m about evens after Saturdays betting with both Leeds and Spurs letting me down with dissapointing draws.

Leeds were looking good until a 93rd minute equaliser denied them the win and Spurs couldn’t find the back of the net.
